Thankful Thursday

We are thankful that our mom rescues us out of trees. Yes, Chilli got stuck in a tree. Again. Please note the "barrier" mom had put around the trunks to prevent her climbing it. We guess she can take those off now, tee hee. Mom climbed on the wall, reached for Chilli and put her down on the roof of the bicycle shelter in front of the wall. And guess what Chilli did! She ran to our flashy box - mom had put down on the roof to have her hands free - and smooched it over the roof's rim. It fell 3m deep! We are thankful it didn't get broked.

Chilli's portrait from our Catwalk Caturday on location photoshooting inspired our friend Martin Hooper to do this cool graphic. We especially like the black & white segment and the rainbow coloured one below. Thank you Martin! And many thanks to those who voted for us at the Catwalk Caturday Wall of Fame over at Misha's!

But we have more things to be thankful for. Siena's price from the Curly Q Contest arrived from Victor, Nina and mom Jen. They even included some very yummy holistic cat treats. Many thanks!
Mom, please open this fast, this could be for us!Chilli, get out of there!!! I can't see what's in the box!Siena: Mmmh, I think it's the Fling-ama-String!
Chilli: Treats! Yummy! It IS the Fling-ama-String!!!Mom, you'd better set it up fast. I don't have all day, you know.Nom, nom... treats make the waiting less hard...crunch, crunch.

At first we hesitated to check this new thing out.
Then we both tried it...... the stringy moves fast...
... Siena got real good at catching it...... and Chilli likes to flop down and paw at it.
Now we only have to train the humans to switch it on when we want to play. Victor told us that he trained his boy human to do this. Cool!

Thankful Thursday - Ladycat edition

Thank you for all your loving words for my mom's and my birthday yesterday - they made us melt away!
I so enjoyed having you all over in the garden. Glad no one suffered from agoraphobia, as one of the other worlds behind the wall is quite vast...
As it turns out we were very lucky with the purrfect weather - today it's cold and rainy. That's fine to rest and be ladycat-like though.
Walking the wall home from a wonderful garden birthday party with all of you.
Chilli is already milking her "I'm the kitten" status, but I showed her today that I can still be silly although I'm a ladycat now: We played chase for hours in the garden before it started raining and I scaled the trees up and down again. Then mom didn't see me for a while and had a look over the wall and saw me investigating a balcony! She has no idea how got up there and there's no way I'm telling! Look how "lady-like" I'm washing my paw after all the playing outside...
We will definitely have another garden party for Chilli's birthday in August! Hopefully you will all come again!

Thankful Thursday

We are thankful on this Thursday because...
  • mom found Siena's collar she had lost on Sunday,
  • I got outside today for the very first time without my harness,
  • and my pooper is back to normal again!!!
Ain't life grand?!

P.S.: If I ever get a blockage - here's the reason why:

Thankful Thursday with awards

It is high time we got to say thank you to the sweet cats who have given us awards. We love every single one of them and, of course, YOU, our furriends!

We got the proximity award from Franklin, Dobby and Tasha over at Mishkat. Franklin likes to sneak in in every photo, Dobby has very beautiful eyes and cute freckles on his nose and Tasha's tail even has a name! They are very cool! This award is a special honour as we received it before.

This blog invests and believes in PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships! These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight bloggers who can choose eight more and include this text into the body of their award.

We got this lovely and loving award from The Creek Cats and Forever Foster. Thank you guys, we love you and your blogs too - you make our day! We are purring for the Creek Cats's Pop to get well soon. He has a very hurty foot and is taking strong medicines for a while now. Also, we are thinking of Fui and Suey in Australia, who are experiencing torrential rain while elsewhere the country is on fire. Those are very scary times, you look after yourselves!
LOVE YA award winner... These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award.

And then, we got this adorable, cute, itty-bitty award from Tom and Tama-Chan. They are very special to us and we would love to cuddle with them as the kitty and the dawg in the drawing do. Ready to cuddle, guys?
Tom and Tama-Chan tagged for us aswell for a cool meme, so did Abby & Stygia, but we'll leave that for an other day. We want to pass on the cute itty-bitty award to all the Quiltcats, Laila & Minchie, Fui and Suey and the Creek Cats. Thank you for being who you are!
The other two blogs go out to everycat that spreads the love and friendship. If you, after an act of selfscrutiny, think that you are one of those cats, please do take the award. We, of course, think that applies to every cat in our blog list.

A lot of purrs,
Siena & Chilli

Truthful Thursday

Today I decided to take a big step. I will share my best hidden beauty flaw with you. It concerns a bit of a sensible matter and if you're not sure you want to know it, you should close your eyes for the length of this post. To give the others some preparation time I will interject my Thankful Thursday post and will thank...
... Peggy and her sweet cats for thinking of us and honouring us with the pretty, pretty, pretty Butterfly Award:
A big thank-you aswell to Angel for nominating me for the Lemonade Award. Sadly she has just lost her furriend Wizard a few days ago. He was a fierce fighter and left much too young.
And then a heart-felt thank-you to my dear friends Goldie, Shade & Banshee AND to the Creek Cats for this furry special award.
It has a lovely explanation:
"This blog invests and believes the PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships! These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award."
Ehem, I will study the rules en detail in the next days. Promised!
Thank you again to all of you - especially from little Chilli who is absolutely thrilled.
Okay, eyes closed?

So, here's my secret: See that black spot of fur on my white 'tocks? Let's just say it's not my spot #13 (which was kindly hidden)... Not very proper for a young Girlcat is it? Phew, glad I revealed it. What beauty flaws do you have?

Thankful Thursday

Thank you Shade, Banshee & Goldie over at Sumac Stories for this award full of love! I love it!

These are the rules:
This lovely award is created by Crystal @ Memoirs of a Mommy in honor of Noah and the donor of his sweet little heart who ENCOURAGES us to SHARE THE LOVE! The rules for this award are to pass it along to some people whose blogs you love. They make you laugh, smile, leave encouraging comments on your blog. You would like to share some love with them because they have uplifted, inspired, encouraged or prayed for you. Please include this paragraph with the link to Memoirs of a Mommy so that everyone knows where this award originated from.
I would like to give this award to Zoe, Georgia and Indy, Daisy and The Creek Cats. They were so fast in giving good advice. Thank you very much!

I have another reason to be thankful for: That there are more nice and cozy places for a girlcat to nap when her new crazy sister is occupying her bed on the windowsill. Still: Hrmpf.
