Do your humans sometimes don't know how to behave when the cat of the house - that is you - jumps up to their desk and lays down? Should they interrupt their work and talk gently to you? Give you the odd chin scratch, maybe even rub your tummy?
I will make today's lesson of catical correctness very short:

Funny you should talk about this, Siena. I jut jumped up on #1's desk, sat down on my Boogie Mat, and was immediately given a nice head scratch. It's clear she has been taking CC Classes...
Your Pal,
Tama-Chan
Har har, that is my favourite trick! Forcing head skritches! You do a brilliant job, Siena, and we hope hoomans everywhere are taking note:)
hehe I thinks you should add this to a book called "cats for dummies!"...
Only problem is when I gets up on the desk it is usually a cause I wants mommas arm to rumpy humpy :( hehe
V-V
My momma knows this one! If she forgets I just walks across the keyboard and she not only scritches me but picks me up and hugs me!

Here the correct etiquette is for the ape to immediately stop what they are doing and enquire politely what the cat would like. Then the ape must observe the cat closely for clues via body language and the time of day. We like to make it hard on the apes as each of us likes different types of petting at random hours and sometimes we just wish to supervise without being touched.
You do look lovely getting that tummy rub Siena.

I think I have the PM pretty well trained on this one. She has a cat mat right on the desk right where I want it.
Good job on spreading the word, Siena!!

Thanks for that lesson. We're gonna make sure our mom sees this. She always puts us on the floor when we jump on the desk cuz she sez she can't see the computer. Well, isn't that the whole idea???
I see you have a blanket right on the desk so obviously, you're meant to be there! Good lesson for humans - we'll make sure ours pay attention!
Our human gets an A+ is CC class. ~Socks, Scylla & Charybdis
I had better make sure my Mommie reads this! Usually Harley just walks across all the keys and makes a big problem and my Mommie says "Harley, NONO!"
That's awesome! Our problem is that we can't seem to stay off the keyboard.
Yes, when you were showing socks yesterday it sent me over the edge...it's all I've been able to think about since...
LOL--I have no problem complying with that lesson. In fact, I pet Minnie too much sometimes, her fur is so irresistible!
Hi Siena...those lovely tummy furs absolutely demand petting and we're glad your meowmy is taking lessons in catical correctness. Ours always pets us when we hop up on the computer desk, even when Gingy walks back and forth in front of the screen...but she needs to take lessons from yours on cleaning off her desk...there's no place for us to lie down like that!
Thanks for the instruction, we are gonna make sure we show our parents so they will be catically correct.
I think that's how all humans should act... floor OR desk.
Thank goodness Mommy will be better equiped to handle this situation now.
Totally right, again, LSIF! My SS is well trained after so many years of me being her study pal.
My mom gets an A++ in CC. Your belly is so cut.
Boy, that Siena really is cute! ~James (orange tabby)
