Little Chilli went to the vet this morning at 09.30 a.m. to be spayed and for the missing leucosis shot. We were supposed to pick her up around 1 p.m. but the vet called and said we should make it 4 p.m., because she wasn't well awake. The surgery went fine though and they said there haven't been complications. However, Chilli didn't get good reports for her behaviour as a patient. When mom heard her scream because of the anaesthesia she knew that Chilli won't be an easy patient and she was right. The vet called her "bitchy". Grin, that's our little Chilli! She had to get some fluids to prevent dehydration and that meant three more pokes. The horror, the horror, the horror! She must feel very ouchy!
When she got home I didn't hiss at her but went straight to her to wash her face. She is wearing one of those collars around her neck and, naturally, hates it. Her first wobbly walk lead straight to the litter box where she had a good pee. And almost went to sleep during it! After half an hour of very wobbly, very whiny inspection, mom had to carry her up to the "loft bed" where she loves to sleep. There was no way she could get up here on her own, she couldn't even get up on the first step of the ladder, but she insistingly tried.
That means we're all up in bed now - although it is only 6 p.m.! I have loads of work to do with snuggling and washing the little one. She smells disgusting! Mom has to watch her for if she wakes up she could fall from the bed.Have a pawsome Finally Friday efurryone! Oh, and please stop by this Sunday if you can make it. Chilli will be celebrating her half-birthday. My half-birthday was very cool and I want her to have a great day, too. I even got a little surprise for her.

We are so happy Chilli is home! You are such a wonderful older sister, Siena! Getting all that yucky vet smell off her is so nice of you. Over here in the USA the females have to spend the night at the vet. Mommie doesn't like that, but what can you do.
Keep a good eye on that little wild sister of yours!
Hugs and purrs to little Chilli.
Well, that is an intriguing title. We just had to come see who got neutrered, since we thought you are a girl. But you were just teasing us.
We hope Chilli is feeling better. Sounds like she gave as good as she got at the vet's. :)
Aw Siena, you are such a good big sisfur! I am sure that Chilli will be feeling better much sooner with you there to keep her warm and comfy...and to get that yucky v.e.t. smell off her. I (Louie) hate that collar thingy and after i had my really big surgery, Meowmy made the people at the vet hospital take it off me because she knew i was miserable (heck, it kept me from eating!). I hope Chilli will be able to tolerate it and not bother her stitches. Hugs and purrs to you both.
Your friend,
Louie
Yeah Chilli! Cones are just the worst aren't they?

Poor little Chilli! Thank goodness that terrible ordeal is over with. Siena, you are such a sweet sister to take very good care of Chilli like that.
Poor Chilli! She'll be OK, though. Purrs to both Chilli & Siena on this trying day.
You are such a very wonderful big sister, Siena! I'm sorry that Chilli got poked so much and that she had to scream at the vet's. As for the cone, there are just no suitable words from what Tommy tells me. I have never had one myself.
Talking of not having things, and having others... Since I am a "Queen-in-Training" I am not having one of those operations anytime soon. But, instead, I have been what #1 calls "in heat" the last few days. She says it's a good thing I have such a tiny voice!
I would love to come to the party on Sunday. Can I bring Tommy?
Purrs,
Tama-Chan
Siena, you are probably the sweetest big sisfur in the entire universe!
Chilli we are sorry to hear about all the needle poking and all. And Maggie wants to tell you she is very very sorry about the cone around your head for which she is all to aware of! Looks like you are being very well taken care of after your spaying and have a great little recovery center set up for you in the loft bed.
We are sending healing vibes your way, Chilli!!!
And oh about the bad report from the vet, Cal gets those everytime :)
I didn't realize that Chilli was having surgery today. I don't think I realized until today that Chilli was a girl, so my apologies if I have called her a him.
Siena, you are a wonderful big sister!
It's me again. Tommy is so excited to be invited to the party!
I wanted to tell you that I have not had my second test yet. I have to wait at least another 6 week. But paws crossed! Much excitement will follow if the results are good!
Purrs,
Tama-Chan
Just rest Chilli, and you'll feel like your old self in a few days. And that awful "doctor office" smell will go away, too!

I'm glad Chilli came through it okay - those cones are awful! Have a good weekend!
Poor Chilli! That is very important surgery to have, but it hurts afterwards, and it's exhausting. Siena, you're doing a great job taking care of her.
P.S. When Tasha was spayed, she got a note on her chart from the vet saying "Tasha was a very nice patient". We still can't figure that one out because she is horrible at the vets!
I am glad everyone is home and safe!
How sweet of you to bathe your sweet sister after having her spaying, Siena!
Usually when one of us gets back from the vets we hissss at each other til the Vet stink wears off. You put us to shame by washing it of sweet Chilli!

Oh poor Chilli must be glad that vet ordeal is over. Although the cone is no fun. Georgia absolutely refuses to wear one of those. It's probably too late now but we could have sent the blue donut collar that was much more comfortable. You're such a good big sister Siena for not hissing and for being patient with the cranky patient.
It's nice Chilli has such good care from Siena. When Fiona went to the vet to be spayed, it turns out she'd already had the surgery--they could tell from the scars after shaving her belly. (She was a stray when she found me, so I didn't know what vet car she had had.) When she got an infection in her hind end, and i needed to put ointment on it, which she immediately licked off, Fiona had to wear one of those collars, too. She really, really hated it and even managed to take it off somehow. ??
Chilli, we are purring for you. We all know what you have been through, even the Mommy.
It must depend on where in the USA you live cause Scylla & Charybdis got to come home the same day, but like you Chilli they were very groggy. They were probably happy to get rid of Scylla, it seems they applied the same terms to you both.
Siena you are wonderful to take such good care of her. We will try to come by for the half birthday party. But just in case we don't make it we will be thinking about you. Happy Half Birthday Chilli.
~Socks, Scylla, Charybdis & Fenris
Oh Chillil! We hope you recover fast and you don't hafta wear that collar for long!!!
Siena, take care of your sister, okay?
Hi Chilli! It's Jane here. I had to have that surgery last month and I didn't like it either! The best part is that you only have to have it once!!
Poor beautiful little Chilli. If I was there I would be assisting in licking off any smell too. You're a brave girl. I consider it a total victory that the VET thinks you're a bitch! If the man is sticking it to you, then you stick it right back with a bitey too.
LSIF that is about the sweetest thing ever, you are the best sister a cat could have.
Love you both,
BSIF
Hey maybe Chilli should be Little Sister In Honorary Floof (since she is a short floof girl, but still a great sister)
Boy this is a long comment!
Oh and is there anything I can do to help with the party?
Sienna you are taking such good care of your little sister! So sweet!
Aww little Chilli you firecracker!
You has to be nice to the VETS a cause they is in charge of sharpies :)
I hope that you feel better quick, but I am sure you will with the wonderful care Siena is giving you :))

I'm sorry Chilli has to wear a lampshade on her head. But, it is all for the best so she won't pull out her stitches.
I'll be thinking of her and sending her best wishes.
Siena, you are such a darling girl! What a wonderful sister you are.
Chilli, you will feel better in no time. I climbed the screen door 2 days after I had my operation. We are purring for you, sweetie!:)
We hope Chilli is feeling better today. You are such a good big sisfur, Siena! you are takin g good care of your little one!
Qué agradable es tener una hermana amorosa y no un insurrecto como Zar!!!
These are such great pictures! You're taking care of your sister perfectly!
