I mastered the tube!Well, sort of.
The other day we showed the tube I liked to play with. I used to get inside of it and roll around. At the very beginning when I just had arrived here, Siena gave me biteys in the butt when I was in there. Ahh, fun! Then I stopped playing with it, mostly because the dangling acorn inside allways fell off and mom got tired of fixing it again and again and again.
Now we got a new and improved version with a button on an elastic string fixed to the tube's inside! Yay, the 21st century has arrived to our appartement!!! Wohooo!!!
Here you see the tube and me together. It looks as if I don't fit in there anymore, doesn't it? Here's a short video to show that I nonetheless tried:The tube is by the way a left-over piece from the making of our cat-tree. It's the inside of it to be exact. Mom got it for free from a store that sells carpets. The carpets are measured by length and are rolled around the tube. There were several sizes of tubes to be thrown away and mom picked the longest one of 4 meters. She then happily transported her treasure home - on her bike! I think mom is crazy too!

Haha! That must have looked funny! Your mum on a bike with 4 metres of tube.It made a great cat tree and toy though.
We think the best toys are the ones that aren't really suppose to be toys...that tube sure looks like fun!

First, I can't believe your mom brought that tube home on her bike! Four meters is over twice as tall as many humans. I hope she didn't knock anyone over on the way home :) It looks like a wonderful toy though - and the video is great.

Chilli, you are a character! Yes, you seem to have worked it out: Jocebeane and I are friends of over 20 years, & Baby Bean is my daughter. I am the one pictured with the most excellent Monger in his kitty obit. Jocebeane is the one who got me blogging; I kept telling her I didn't have time, etc. Now I love it. Jocebeane is honorary aunt to Baby Bean, as both my husband and I are only children-- so is Baby Bean! My mom and dad live in Pea Ridge, as does cousin Becky & Jocebean's mom is Shirley; some of the posts are addressed to her, you see. Our moms like looking at pictures of what BB and everyone are up to.
If you go back to our archives to "vintage beans" you will see a picture of Jocebean and me. Looks like Jocebean also left you a hint about her secret identity!!
We wish we had one of those tubes to play in! We voted for your sister today, Chilli:)
We're sure you can get in. We very interested in a home build cat tree. We've tried for some time to get the humans to look at it - and they've found a source for the carpet tube - and then things sort-off stopped.
Btw: Tell your humans to mail her address to cliffandolivia [at] gmail [dot] com and we might persuade our humans to send you some catnip seeds.

Ayla might fit in that tube, cause she is so long an skinny. We wouldnt though cause we are kinna fat.

Hahaha, momma and I gots a good laugh watchings your video! I has a similar toy to that but much smaller called the hidden prey cat toy. It has a squeaky mouse inside attached to a string.
Siena - momma says that they will still call me Baby Patches after I turn 1 year old. I is the baby of the family and they hads another cat named Patches before me. This name has kinds of stuck with me. Also, my purrfday is April 7th. You lucky you gets to celebrate for todays!
