Easy like Sunday

This picture reflects nicely what I am planning to do today.
Hopefully Chilli wants to have a calm day too. Here she is relaxing in the comfy bed she - eh, we - got for her birthday. It was supposed to be for the two of us, but Chilli has claimed is as her purrsonal bed.
Isn't it a bit unfair? The little one gets the comfy bed and I sleep in a box on the floor...
Sigh, being the big sisfur is hard sometimes. Literally. But I would never disturb my sweet sisfur's slumber. Just look at her!

Oh, we got news from Dado: His owner texted back and said that she was sorry to hear he's causing that much trouble, but doesn't know what she can do about it. Mom suggested not to let him roam that much and to try to make their yard escape safe - but she's not sure if the woman is willing or able to do that. Apparently another mancat has taken over Dado's yard and he had to search himself a new territory: OURS! While shopping for groceries mom met Frida and Lilly's human. She asked her about Dado and the woman told her that Dado is peeing all over her terrace and their patio too. She had put out a litter box for him, without success. She was very keen on having the phone number of Dado's owner. We have nothing against Dado or his owner, but it's really bad that he's causing such a stirr-up for us and our neighbour. We hope the woman finds a way to change this situation. In the meantime mom has placed the evil squirt bottle outside to have it at hand... (shudders).
A relaxing Sunday to all of you,
Siena

Sorry, seeing you in the little box made us laugh. We couldn't help it, you look very funny.

We really hope the Dado situation will improve. That must be some evil cat, that is chasing him out of his own yard.

But Siena, a box is the best! We hope you get your roaming intruder problem solved.

We hope that things with Dado settle down. He sounds like a real pain in the tail! Have you seen the cat detterents that are a can of compressed air? They are triggered by motion, and while they don't hurt, they can scare a kitty away. Maybe you could try something like that when you girls are inside, to at least stop him peeing on your terrace.

You look very cute in your box, Siena:)

Oh you poor girl! You look so funny all squished up in that box. Maybe if you asked nicely Chilli would share the bed with you?

Happy Sunday Siena and Chilli... purrsonally speaking, we enjoy boxes, there are always many shapes and sizes to choose from.

Hey, Siena...I'd rather have the box too! It looks real comfy there!

And we're sorry to hear about Dado...we hope something can be worked out so he isn't causing so much trouble!

Is Dado neutered? If not, that would go a long way to stop him roaming and urinating... (to suggest to his owner). But Siena, you have so much floofy upholstery on your own sweet self that you don't need a cushy bed like Chilli does! ;-) ~Fiona

Siena, you're such a good big sisfur to let Chili have the bed. I have to say that she looks so cute and comfy in it. Boxes are always good too.

Dado needs to be neutered. That would definitely stop the peeing and most likely the roaming too.

Hola chicas!

He estado leyendo los problemas que tienen con Dado, el vecino invasor. Esperamos que se resuelva bien y pronto.

Que pasen un feliz domingo.

Prrrrrrrrrrrr...

I wonder if Dado has had his hoohaectomy yet? If not, maybe getting him neutered would help his tendency to roam all over.

Angel loves her box as much as any bed. You are so nice not to disturb you sisfur.

It is too bad Dado was run out of his own yard. No wonder he is hunting a new place. That introoder needs to go away so Dado can go home. I agree he probably has not been neutered but hos Mom may not be able to afford it.

We're wondering as are the other kittys if Mr. Dado needs a visit to the v-e-t to have his hoohas removed. That would help a lot if it hasn't been done.

Chilli you are so adorable and sleeping so soundly we can see why Siena won't disturb you. What a good big sisfur you are Siena...although we think your box is pretty amazing.

I think the squirt bottle is a good idea if the owner isn't able to do anything. The water won't hurt Dado, it will just let him know that he doesn't want to come into your yard anymore. Good luck!
your pal,
Bruce
p.s. Chilli, I think you should share with your sister. Just think how cozy that would be for both of you:)

Poor Dado--it sounds like that other cat is making life hard for him and he's just reacting.

That's a lovely bed. I think you need one of your own!

Those are some picture purrfect photos of you two girls. Perhaps Chilli will be willing to share the new bed when the weather turns cold. She may appreciate a warm sister to snuggle with then :)
I hope the Dado problem will reach a happy solution. Unneutered toms can be a pain in the whiskers!
Thanks for dropping by. Purrs from the 11 barn cats and 3 house cats here on the farm :)

We hope Dado's owner doesn't dump him at the shelter but takes some time to try to resolve the problem.

You really are a wonderful sister, Siena! That last picture of Chilli sleeping is very cute but your bed does look a little bit on the small side!

What a nuisance that Dado is! Does the fact he is peeing everywhere mean he is not neutered?

Tommy had a fabulous adventure today and will write all about it in tomorrow's blog post!

There looks like enough room in the bed for both of you so maybe Chilli would share. You do look cute all squished in that little box though!

We sure hope the problems with Dado clear up. It's too bad he got kicked out of his own yard.

Poor Siena! Yes, that box is a little snug for you. I hope you're mama buys you your own bed, or purrhaps you could snuggle up with Chilli in hers. There's nothing so lovely as seeing two sisfurs curled up together.

As far as Dado goes, with the peeing and everything, I don't think a litterbox is going to do it -- because as far as he's concerned, that's not the point he wants to make. He is definitely marking his territory by peeing.
We have a neighbourhood cat who poos on top of the fences to mark his! This is the sign of an aggressive cat. Very difficult problem to deal with. I can sympathsize.

I also had to laugh at you in the little box, but Chilli looks so adorable snuggled up in the bed.

I hope the Dado situation improves. Did the mom say he had been fixed?

I'd be wanting to join Chili in the big bed. It looks so much more comfy than that itty bitty box.

We had a device to stop the neighbour's cat coming on to our deck. It worked as a motion sensor and emitted a high pitched sound that human can't hear but cats can. Worked really well and also stopped us from jumping next door!

Chilli does look comfy... I like a box too though. Dado sounds like a trouble-maker.

We love the pictures! You're so kind to let your sister have the big comfy bed - what one wouldn't do for some peace and quiet. But your box on the floor looks very comfy too.

Hope the Dado-situation resolves itself soon.
