Both the papers she's lying on and the overhead light must have Siena feeling more than a little warm! Such a purrfect spot for a kitty to nap!
By the way Britta -- congrats! Siena made it front and center on the "Cute with Chris" homepage today!!! I knew it was a purrfect match -- Siena and Chris that is! (As well as Siena with the floor.)
I don't know if you were acquainted with this site previously, but if you look at the last video episode that Chris did called "My Decline from June 22 this year, you'll notice some other kitty that you are familiar with. Chris has taken a break from his videos since then.

I love sleeping under the halogen lamp. It gets really warm. But I cannot go up there without supervision because the bulb gets too hot!

Lights and lamps are our purrsonal heat lamps so we don't know why your mom thinks you're not supposed to be up there.
Light bulbs are amazing floof warmers. I think you should be able to go wherever you want to go in the house.
Best place to be! I miss seeing you LSIF. SS has been so busy lately we have to take an enforced break from blogging and visiting.
We don't believe a well-trained human staff would have a problem with a cat warming itself beneath a halogen lamp!
