I see your pretty little fangs Siena, they are delightful, just don't bite the little one with them please. I know it's tempting, she's just so delicious, if a bit hot! (tee hee)
Hi Siena, sorry we took so long to respond to your question about Hill's Nature's Best. The main concern we have with Hill's is corn gluten meal, especially so near the top of the list. We usually pick dry food that is grain free with a lot of real meat in the first ingredients, and no by-products or corn. Our ingredient list on our favorite dry food reads: Deboned chicken, chicken meal, turkey meal, russet potato, lake whitefish, chicken fat, sweet potato, whole eggs, deboned turkey, salmon meal, salmon and anchovy oils, salmon, natural chicken flavor...etc. So 4 of the top 5 ingredients are good meat. We're trying to decrease the dry food altogether now and feed more canned. There are a lot of good brands we've tried in both dry food and canned. Good ones we like are Orijen, Innova, Natural Balance, Wellness...this site has a good list (most of these are for kittens as well as adult cats): http://cats.about.com/od/dryfood/tp /premdrycatfood.htm It's hard to pick and we usually feed a couple different kinds and rotate since no one food is perfect. Ok, sorry so long and rambling. We're happy to see you two getting along so well over there. Have a good Wednesday!
Hi again, Make sure if you try Orijen that it comes straight from Canada. It has been recalled in Australia because the government there irradiates it at ridiculously high levels, which changes it and depletes the vitamin A, making cats sick. We still feed it here, it's a great food and it's safe everywhere else, just make absolutely sure it hasn't gone through Australia or anything.
We know you don't celebrate Thanksgiving in Germany like we do here in the US - but we wish you a happy day anyways! Mrs. OZ, Tintin, Naughty, Luna, Ruis and Karl
I am a Norwegian Forest Cat born April 2008. I live in an apartment in the city with my mom and my little sisfur Chilli, who came to live with us in November 2008. Feel free to follow our adventures as we grow up. Hearty purrs, Siena
