Finally Friday - Paw it forward

Mom Paula and her four quilt-loving cats Gingy, Silvie, Louie & Fuzzy played Paw it forward with us. It's a wonderful idea - here's some information about it:
"The exchange focuses on doing an act of kindness without expecting anything in return other than that the recipient will, in their turn, pass the kindness along and 'pay it forward' in their own way.
This is how it works...
I am going to agree to send something fun, inspiring or uplifting to the first 3 blog owners who post a comment on this entry. In turn you will then post about this on your blog, link to me, then send something to the first three people who sign up to play along through your blog.
There are no cost restraints, BUT don't go crazy! The little something you send can be something you made, bought, were given or found. No biggie, just a gift that will make the person smile. Maybe something unique from where you live? And, remember that kindness does not have to involve money; there are untold ways to help others every single day, everywhere you go - just look around."
Update: We are getting the impression that times are indeed that rough that most kitties can't play although they want to. So we changed the rules to "you can pick one Paw it forward furriend plus one than wants to play and comments on your blog". We've already chosen one furriend but there's still a vacancy! : )
Siena is inspecting the load.
Mom mostly looked forward to the card which she hoped would be hand crafted by mom Paula. Her hope came true - look at the lovely card! It conveys a beautiful message, don't you think?!We BOTH got a Boogie Mat. Mom was mumbling 'Oh, she shouldn't have!' the whole time.Check out Chilli's expression in this picture, it says it all. And mom hadn't even figured out at that point that there was nip to go inside! Hahahaha! She always just thought that the boogie mats looked pretty.Guess who slept for hours on the boogie mat right on the kitchen floor where we unpacked them?Mom got a sweet fridge magnet with Ruby-Throated Hummingsbirds. All three of us got really wide-eyed when we heard that they are native to North America. Maybe for different reasons, though...
Here you can see the hummingbirds watching over us from the oven door. Funny, normally WE watch the birdies, but we guess it's okay in this case as they are very special birdies. We love them!
Just in time Paula sent us this pawsome brush. Shedding has just started - and some of you might know what that means for a floofy kitty like Siena. Magically she likes the Zoom Groom. Chilli thought it was at least very whapable.

Here's the proof that we like the All natural Tempations with salmon very much! Temptations are called Dreamies over here and we don't have the All natural ones. Yummy!
Thank you very much Paula and our four fellow felines, we will put your pressies in good use! : )
Purrs, Siena & Chilli

P.S.: If you like to comment but not play Paw it forward just say so - even if we're young kitties we understand that these are rough times.

Hi guys! You certainly got a wonderful box of prizes!!! I'd love to give a slightly used kitten to the first one who comments on my blog but momma says I can't. Since we just donated bunches of monies to the local animal shelter we can't afford to give anything else just now, but I'd still like to talk about your Paw it Forward in my next post if that's OK.
Those boogie mats look SO cool!!

We can't play the Paw it Forward, but we wish we could. Just stopping by so Rori could gracefully concede to Siena. Siena, you really did have the best picture, and Mommy would've voted for you if Rori hadn't been your opponent. Good luck with the next "fight"!

Hello Girls! We are already playing Paw it Forward, but if you're looking for an extra candidate, we would be delighted to play it again with you!

By the way, we are rather envious of your Boogie Mat designs! Believe it or not, we have been give three Boogie mats in the last two years and they are ALL the same!

Tommy, Tama-Chan and Sei-Chan!

This is a neat program and Mom is debating playing. Those are neat boogie mats. We don't have any!

Those are very nice boogie mats. We have not heard of them before, but they look nice. There are lots of hummingbirds that migrate to North America in the summer--the ruby-throated is the only one who comes to Michigan. They are so small they're more like very large bees--we are not interested in them. We can't play paw it forward but we think it looks fun. P.S. Chilli, the box is the best part, isn't it?! :) ~James and Fiona

What a great bag of treats. You are super lucky. We are not sure about play it forward playing, but we think getting parcels is a nice surprise.

Hooray for Paw it Forward! We think it's a great idea - and we're so happy to see that Chilli and Siena now have boogie mats. (We need some more boogie mats around here - Mom keeps saying she's going to make us some, but we're still waiting!)

P.S. From Katie - We have ruby-throated hummingbirds here in the summer - the same two females come back every year, and last year we had a male too. They really like the ivy-leaf pelargoniums that I put in hanging baskets on the front porch. Their absolute favorite plant seems to be Salvia guaranitica, but I can't find cuttings for this every year - they also like Salvia coccinea, but not as much. They are not shy, to say the least. My friend Mike has a feeder, and they definitely let him know when it's empty.

What a great box of goodies Mom Paula and the kitties sent to you purrty girls! The boogie mats rock! Our mom says the handmade card is awesome! Ehjoy all your pawsome gifts!

She loves to attact hummingbirds to our yard. Even held one in her hands after it found its way in our garage and lost the energy to fly. She fed it nectar by hand and gained the energy back and flew off. We will try to find the pictures sometime.

We just participated in Swap N Tails for the first time, so we are unable to Paw it forward at this time. Hopefully, we can play soon!

We would love to Paw it Forward...but we know we live in the States and wonder about shipping internationally. We don't want this to be a burden on anyone...

Tiger and GK think they are very underprivileged b/c we don't have ANY boogie mats & in fact I have never heard of them! What a fun game to "paw it forward." I would like to play sometime, as soon as my dissertation is done..(when my life begins....)
Do you have hummingbirds on the continent? My friend from England was very keen to see hummingbirds when she was in the States a couple summers ago. I was amazed to learn there are no hummingbirds there. We have loads of them in the summer -- they like the trumpet vine.

Hi Siena and Chilli. It's so nice seeing and hearing how much you enjoy your presents! The video of you eating your treats is really cute...we like how you each put a paw on a treat as if to say "this one is mine" but there's no earchomping or other hostile behavior going on.
