Abby and Stygia are having a fun contest about Cat Yoga. Here we go.
Again, this pawsition is about flexibility. If you are a human you would do this while standing. Trying to get your chest and stomach as near to your fully stretched legs as possible. Chilli does it lying on her side but you can surely appreciate the proficiency she has already achieved at her young age.
Yay to Cat Yoga!
Purrs, Siena & Chilli
Siena is a pro in distorted pawsitions. This is a basic pawsition. It stimulates the liver. You should breath deeply three times holding that pawsition. Of course, if you're a cat, you can stay in there as long as you please. This one's a picture from her second day at our home. She showed much ability at a young age! This pawsition is about flexibility but aswell about strength in the hind legs. This is an advanced pawsition. Humans would actually grab their feet with their hands and form a circle, resting on their chest. It's known we can't grab our paws, so Siena performs this pawsition lying on her side and with a little aid.
Chilli's the flexible one. Flexibility is very impawtant in Yoga. Here you might get the idea how Chilli reached her stitches even with a lampshade on.Again, this pawsition is about flexibility. If you are a human you would do this while standing. Trying to get your chest and stomach as near to your fully stretched legs as possible. Chilli does it lying on her side but you can surely appreciate the proficiency she has already achieved at her young age.

Wow, you two are very limber! Good luck in the contest!
Such amazing flexibility! 9 and Chani will definitely visit you tomorrow!
I love any pawsitions that have legs outstretched. Siena's second photo is awesome. ~Monica
Chilli, You had to wear that damn lampshade too?! Here you can see me in mine, back in June 2007. (Don't worry, I got it to come off me ha ha!) ~Fiona
Guten Tag, Siena and Chilli!

Mommy was trying some positions here but...hummmm I guess it doesn't work well! It's funny!

Wow -- those are some really advanced moves...our kitties are very adept at what we call the "meatloaf" position, and if they are up on their front paws while in meatloaf, we call it "active meatloaf!" We would never miss Siena's 1st birthday! We had a big party for GK's 1st, years ago -- I have the pictures!
JBeane did get the kitty -- have only seen pictures (not on the blog tho). She is black with one white spot & her name is Queen Daisy. Apparently everyone is fine with it, but LB (naturally!) hates her right now...she'll get used to it, tho, & will probably like the playmate. It is always an adjustment for everyone when a new animal is introduced.
Looking forward to Siena's celebration! Elizabeth

Wow, when does your DVD come out!? We are not yogi's at all, but maybe we can try?
You two are very limber cats! You go!
Oh this made me laugh, I love it! Quincy is about the only one that does yoga like this. Your two are so flexible!! They are expets in yoga. :)
Oops! Blame Ms. C for forgetting. Humans are not as perfect as we cats. We have now included Siena in the contest, in fact we have awarded her as a winner! Check it out.
