Siblings on Sunday

Furriends,
I got news from my siblings. Isn't that the coolest thing? I haven't heard from them since we parted when we were 14 weeks old.
My brofur Thjure lives with another orange mancat called Buffy.
Check out the pawsome floof on his tail. He's my brofur for sure!
He looks like much fun, don't you think?
And that's not me, but my sisfur. She's called Rana nowadays. My mom always tells me that we looked like twins. She has grown into a beautiful ladycat and I'm happy to hear that both Thjure and her are doing fine.

But talking about sisfurs. Did you see that my BSIF (Big Sister in Floof), Fin, is retiring from blogging? Both her and Momo took me under their floofy tails when I started blogging and I will always be grateful for what I've learned from them and the good times we had. Family is impawtant but if you're lucky you meet very special furriends along the way and they can become at least equally impawtant. Finny sure is such a furriend!
Fin is a Mousey fan just like me!
Enjoy the good life, BSIF and please visit from time to time. I will sure miss you!

Good girls

Sometimes it just pays off to be the well-behaved one. Mom was so impressed that I didn't escape with my little sisfur the other day that she immediately said yes when I asked if I could head to Australia for a get together with my SIFs (Sisters in Floof), Momo and Fin. Momo is home alone at the moment and we wanted to have some fun together. We got very yummy treats and kitty milk from her Gran. Fin checked what's wrong with Momo's fountain. Then I spotted an tabby introoder in Momo's territory! We chased him off together. We are a purrfect team!

The fun continues

Thank you for all the sweet concatulations for mom's and my birthday yesterday. We had a wonderful time and hope efurryone enjoyed themselves too. Momo was dropping hints all day about a big surprise for the next morning, but I frankly remained clueless until the Magic Carpet was flying over a DESERT. Could it be that we are visiting Fin? That would be the best!Yes we are! Finally, the Sisters-in-Floof are together again. It has been such a looooong time since our trip to Norway. We're having a perfect get-together sharing delicious treats in Fin's desert style yard. There so much to tell each other and to celebrate - with Fin's upcoming very own book naturally being a big point of talk... It's good that Fin has a stylish fountain at paw should we get thirsty. Don't we look a bit fearsome? Together we are unbeatable!
All too soon it was time to leave again and head home on the Magic Carpet. I sure hope I will get to see my NFC Sisters-in-Floof once every year in the future too. That's a nice tradition!

The Acatemy Awards

Here are our entries for one of this year's most prestigious events:
The Acatemy Awards, hosted by Fin.

Siena has hopes for a nomination in the category best movie soundtrack with her beautiful song for the newest adaption of Lady Chatterley.

Chilli has set her pretty predator eyes on a very special category: Best chase of a paper ball whilst imitating a Hermit Crab. We think she stands a very good chance this year!
We are very much looking forward to the ceremony - it will be a lovely evening.

Hunt week

I wanted to participate in Fin's Hunt Week to tell you about how I successfully catch a most elusive prey: My own tail!I'm quite good at it since I was a kitten. I do fast moves,... turning around all of a sudden to get the tail by surprise. Once I got it, I hold on to it with both front paws or it will make an escape again. Sometimes I have to wrestle it. Once it's defeated I like to put the bitey on it or just wash it.
It gets a bit boring when it's deaded tough. I would love to catch a real mousie again.
Happy hunting!

Friday with feathers

Fin is having a special Tweet Week dedicated to the birdies. We, of course, are very interested in birdies and we love feathers. Today we want to show a very special birdie, who, to be honest, made our hunting dreams come to a screeching halt. Mom was in the local zoo again and dreamingly wandered around when she noticed this:Mom must have looked a bit like Chilli when she sees something almost unbelievable and exciting. She tiptoed closer.Yes indeed, the man was showing an Eagle Owl to the puplic. We snickered at first when mom told us that the Eagle Owl's scientific name is Bubo bubo...
... but regained our respect fast...
... when we heard that this bird can carry off a cat-sized prey with his strong feet and kill it.
What a majestic bird.
The "Uhu", how he's called in German, is the biggest type of owl and lives in Europe and Asia. His population is increasing again in Germany since the 1980's thanks to protection and bred animals being released back into the wilderness. The little feathers pointing from his head are btw not his ears. The ears are behind the circular feathers the man is showing (you can biggify all pics). The prominent feathers are more of a communication device!

We hope you enjoyed this. Makes one gain respect for the feathers, huhu huhu huhuuuuu?

P.S.: I couldn't help it... does anyone else see the similarity between Siena and the owl? Hahahahahaha! One of her nicknames even is "the owl"...
Gotta run, little silly Chilli
