You should still be able to read all about Jack even without being on Facebook - if you click on his picture on my sidebar you will get to the web page. We are not on Facebook either.
Jack's human has visited him a couple of weekends from California since he was found, but he was still under the care of the vets in New York. His injuries on his back were not able to heal and together with his Mom they made the decision to put him to sleep yesterday. Poor baby. What an ordeal.
At least the airline was paying for the Vet.
