Busted

Ha! Mom will have to apologise to the other type of human for suspecting him falsely the other day. I am, after all, Señorita Escapista! Please remember that I'm available for tutorials on escapism. Charges are affordable!
Here's the official
"How to" guide to escapism.

Step one: Looking.
Step two: Measuring.
Step three: Pull-up.
Note the "back-up tail", swung around the curtain for extra hold. The pull-up to the tilted window requires some strength and you might have to paw the window with your hind paws quite a bit to really get up and through there. At this point mom jumped to pull me out of the tilted window, so I can't show step four which involves the actual escape into freedom.
Mom is amazed at how slender I am under my floof. The problem is, she can't open the window for fresh air anymore 'cos she's convinced I could get deaded in the tilted window. Silly mom! Of course I wouldn't!

Siena, what skill you have! The tail wrap is very impressive!

We have a similar story about not believing the other type of human. One night I awoke to a flooded bathroom and the water was running in the faucet and spilling over; who knew how long! Our cat Monger liked to drink out of the faucet so I assumed my hub turned on the water and went to back bed (our sinks are poorly designed and have no overflow.) Naturally I was furious and woke him up to accuse him. He insisted he did not do this and suggested the cat turned the water on -- to which I replied: yeah, right. A day or two later, I happened to come upon Monger just as he was turning the faucet on -- he had figured out how to do it so he could help himself to a drink! So, I had to apologize to the hub for suspecting him, tho it is SO totally something he would do. I'm still not totally convinced they weren't in cahoots on this.....
My internet connection is not working properly which is why I haven't been posting much. Someone is supposed to come and work on he line tomorrow. Thanks for your Happy Mother's Day wishes; it WAS sunny yesterday (yay) and I worked in my garden a bit, but today it is pouring down rain again. I guess we will be wishing we had this in July and August when it is so hot and not a drop in sight, but right now I've had enough!! Have a great day!

Your a master escapist, Siena!!

Guess it's better to be safe than sorry. We'd hate if you got deaded in the tilted window!

Siena, I'm so impressed with your skills! I once dug a secret tunnel out from the terrace at our Summer House. The Woman noticed me being "too quiet" and sent the Man out to find me. That was soooo much fun!

Hee hee Hee. You are GOOD, Siena!!!! Maybe the only solution to the open window problem is to put netting on it from the outside.... We have netting on all windows that are opened...

Siena, you are one determined ladycat!

We have screens on all our windows, but once Gandalf leaped right through the screen at an intruder tom cat! Mom freaked out and wouldn't open any windows for a very long time after that one.

You use your tail just like a monkey would! We've never seen anything like it!

Wow! You could do a circus act! That's really cool....but too bad you got busted.

We had a feeling the "other human" had been falsely accused! But we do hope your mom can find a screen to put in that window - one that you can't push out! - so she, and you, can get some fresh air.

Miss Siena, you are a cheeky little Miss! I am sorry but Mushka and Victor were unable to visit you today because I don't want them knowing your tricks.
It's only today though, after all, I know they and I certainly could not resist your little charms even if there is a little sassiness in there :))

I had to sign a waiver before my mom would let me see your post today. Write 50 times, I will not learn too much from Siena...I will not squish myself through tiny openings to escape...

I'm pretty impressed by your skill!

You're the master at escaping, Siena! Do be careful, though. We wouldn't want you deaded either!

Great technique Siena! I've only seen monkeys use their tails like that - didn't know cats had that talent too! It's a good thing your mom stopped your escape so you don't get deaded or hurt. We could not handle anything happening to you.

Sweet Purrfections said...

Siena, I think you win the prize for escapism! However, I am very glad your mom discovered your expertise. We don't want you to get hurt.

Tuck said...

You are very brave Siena! That is a daring escape and it looks dangerous too! I think it's probably for the best if the window stays closed. All the kitties on the CB want you to stay safe!!

Impressive maneuvering!

Wow, Siena, that is a great escape tutorial...mom always forget to close the windows, maybe we can try that too.
But be careful...it is possible that you can be trapped and pinched in that window...
