New adventures

Hi efurryone, it's me, little Chilli!I wanted to tell you about an exciting adventure I had: The other weekend I managed to escape!!! When the humans got up in the morning the window screening in the bathroom had been pushed out of it's place and I was gone. The best part was that Siena, aka Miss Escapista, was still there! Mom says that Siena was actually cleverer because my glorious escape coincided with a night of thunder, lightning and heavy rain. Judging from my dry furs and non-muddy paws when I turned up I just went into hiding somewhere - or at least that's what I made the humans believe. Hehehehe...Mom was very happy when I came home, I didn't even get into trouble.
Don't worry, although the screening is installed again and I'm back to not beeing able to go outside when I fancy it, I'm not one to get bored easily. I'm a very busy cat!

I had the best of times at Siena's Gotcha Day, bunnykicking and chomping away at our Plague Ratsie. Mom laughed at my owlish ears.Nothing beats a good bunny kick in my honest opinion.
I'm really lucky that both mom and Siena love me very much even though I'm a bit of a troublemaker.
Play hard, nap hard - that's my motto.

Too big to be true?

Oh-my-Cod! Is this what we think it is?
A giant feather!Giganto feather!
It's as big as the whole little Chillimus.
We're in heaven!
Mom found it by chance in the decoration part of her favourite plant nursery. It really reminds us of something, if we only knew of what...
Excuse us, we've got some chirping, chomping and feather hunting to do.

Here comes the sun

Hai furriends!Isn't this chillishadow cool?
With the sun lower in the sky we got our patch of sunlight back!
Those 1,5h it gets into our dark cave, eh appartement, are purrfect for getting some good valerian/nip time in or just generally bunnykicking away. I love to bunnykick!
I have been successfully chasing Siena away from my patch of sunlight.
I mean, she has her floofy furs to keep her toasty, right? Although seeing her on the cold floor like this I do feel a bit bad.But this slight uncomfortable feeling will get away when attacking vigourously one of the toys I got for my first birthday.
I'm a wild player!
Look how the toasty sun lets my furs glisten and glitter.

Mmmh, do you think I should share with Siena?
I hope there's a patch of sunlight for you this weekend.
Happy Finally Friday, Chilli

Thankful Thursday

We are thankful that our mom rescues us out of trees. Yes, Chilli got stuck in a tree. Again. Please note the "barrier" mom had put around the trunks to prevent her climbing it. We guess she can take those off now, tee hee. Mom climbed on the wall, reached for Chilli and put her down on the roof of the bicycle shelter in front of the wall. And guess what Chilli did! She ran to our flashy box - mom had put down on the roof to have her hands free - and smooched it over the roof's rim. It fell 3m deep! We are thankful it didn't get broked.

Chilli's portrait from our Catwalk Caturday on location photoshooting inspired our friend Martin Hooper to do this cool graphic. We especially like the black & white segment and the rainbow coloured one below. Thank you Martin! And many thanks to those who voted for us at the Catwalk Caturday Wall of Fame over at Misha's!

But we have more things to be thankful for. Siena's price from the Curly Q Contest arrived from Victor, Nina and mom Jen. They even included some very yummy holistic cat treats. Many thanks!
Mom, please open this fast, this could be for us!Chilli, get out of there!!! I can't see what's in the box!Siena: Mmmh, I think it's the Fling-ama-String!
Chilli: Treats! Yummy! It IS the Fling-ama-String!!!Mom, you'd better set it up fast. I don't have all day, you know.Nom, nom... treats make the waiting less hard...crunch, crunch.

At first we hesitated to check this new thing out.
Then we both tried it...... the stringy moves fast...
... Siena got real good at catching it...... and Chilli likes to flop down and paw at it.
Now we only have to train the humans to switch it on when we want to play. Victor told us that he trained his boy human to do this. Cool!

A try at Toysday

Sigh, can't a floofy girl roll around in peace with her valerian filled cosy cushion? Just look at what that cheeky sisfur of mine always does. She had her own toy, but can't leave me alone...

I kept the upper paw and won the staring down match though. Now, who's the α-cat here? Ha! And mom? It doesn't help at all when you chuckle at the sight of us two - NOT AT ALL!

What I've been doing

Hi efurryone, it's me, Chilli! Did you miss me?
The last posts were all about Siena and celebrating her Gotcha Day. Strangely, mom has two days with NO pictures of little Siena, so I thought I'd take advantage and tell you what I've been up to in those past days and weeks.
With my upcoming graduation as a Gardening Cat (on my first birthday in a few days) I have been gardening whenever the weather was permitting it.And sometimes - even if the weather seemed okay - it's mom who doesn't permit it. Not fair! I need to check on things!
These lavender bushes are looking good!
Everything must be in prime condition. Here I'm checking the Hosta leaves from the downside for pests. Hard work, but I aspire to graduate summa cum laude.
I've even been gardening for hours in the other world behind our wall. Need as much practice as pawsible! Can you see me? Mom giggled when she spotted me.On my way back home I felt a creepy feeling when wanting to pass this open window.I felt like glowing eyes were watching me, a shiver ran all the way down my spine to the tip of my tail and I froze on the spot.
Brrr, I still shiver when I think of it. How strange - there isn't really anything in that window, is there? Biggify if you dare to look.
The other day I got some quality playtime with the neighbour's visiting girls. There were three of them and they absolutely adore me. And I adore feathers! A good combination. However, the neighbour managed to lose my feathers when he teased our neighbour cat Frida with it. And you shouldn't mess with Frida. The toy was a bit broken anyways and mended over and over again, but I was really sad as I loved it very much. It made me chatter! Here are some memory pictures of me and my beloved toy.

Our neighbour gave me a peacock feather as a making-up-present! Those are pawsome too!
Mom says I'm her little peachick and that the colour of my eyes reminds her of the colour of these feathers. Moms, sometimes they say really weird stuff!I'm having fun with this feather for sure. If I promise to be good 'til the 15th of August, I might get a new old feather toy.Okay then, I'll keep a low profile for a while. But for now, two new entries to the popular series 'What is wrong in this picture?'Check in tomorrow, I have loads to tell you!
