Sniffie smells on Sunday
Furriends,
with Spring approaching there are many very sniffie smells in our garden.
I got to do a thorough sampling the other day. Good times ahead!

Furriends...
I had an excellent day so far. We were let outside today and I snoopervised to my Gardening Cat heart's delight.
I even ventured into the other world behind our garden wall...
From where I returned with a lot of feathers in my mouth. Hehehehe, I'm not telling how I got them!
But the very best part was that I proofed that I'm a excellent tree-descender and loving sisfur today. I'm feeling so grown-up! Most of you are long-term furriends, so you might remember when Siena rescued me back in 2009. And that I needed quite a few tree-climbing lessons in the beginning. Well, today I rescued her! Siena was stuck in the property right on the left to us.
She was meowing miserably* for my help and couldn't find a way to get back to our garden.
Please note the perfect descent from that tree!
Oh, and try to ignore the high-pitched babytalk from mom. Sheesh.
I came to her rescue indicating where she could climb up and she did. I'm feeling very proud today. Then I came back inside to find that some of you already concatulated.
I am currently settled down with my sisfur for a nice cuddle. Bliss!
What an excellent Gotcha Day - thank you for making it extra special!

*It is true furriends, I was stuck and my little sisfur rescued me.
Or was I?
Hehehehehe...

Thursday in the garden
::MEOW::
Furriends, it's been literally ages since we were last allowed outside. Mom has gone into full worry wart mode and we had to suffer.
The other day she succumbed to my charms and I was set free at last. That's right, only me - little Chillimus had to stay inside because she doesn't come when called and mom, let's say it together, worries too much.
Except that the janitor always misses some grass in certain spot and I have to help and chomp it down for the humans.
But it's a rewarding work and I can relax even better afterwards!
Life as a gardening cat is pretty pawsome. You hear me, mom?

Only one to go
Furriends, the countdown is on - only one blue egg left to hatch.
The little ones are doing cute little chirps and Mrs. Blackbird is busy feeding them. And look: Daddy Blackbird is helping feed the chicks too. Now that they have hatched starts the critical time concerning the Magpies. Maybe the chirping attracts them. Mom is determined to defend the featherless feathers.
She got some larvae at the pet shop today to offer to family Blackbird. With the wet weather there should be plenty of Earthworms around but she says she wants to offer some support. Gross! Thanks mom, now that I know what these birds feed on I don't even want to eat them any more.
What's in the bag on the left you ask? Water fleas as a treat for our Fischies. Extra gross!!!

Friday with feathers
Furriends,
we've got the first birdie-update already. It's happening: the first little one has hatched.
And it thinks our mom is its mom, hahahahaha! We are having dreadful weather so lets all purr it stays warm and safe.
Have a good weekend!
Siena and Chilli
P.S.: We think we have to correct something as our mom's English has led some of you to believe she did a doctoral thesis. It was "only" a diploma thesis, but we're none the less proud of her. So just you know, no cat has to call her doctor. ; )

Thursday in the garden
Furriends, thursday is our favourite day - especially if we get to go outside in the garden! Mom is impawsible with helping us blog or visit these days, we don't even know the current password for Jonesie's Society of Feline Gardeners. Today we had lots of general maintenance and inspection to do. It's been raining and raining so everything is green and growing.
Chilli on very close inspection with a bush.
Peeping into the other world behind our garden wall.
...Gardening Cat portrait taken. Thank you, Chillimus!
I was extra busy with all these grass halms the janitor misses when mowing.
Admitted, they are yummy and fun too.
So is rolling!
Mrs. Blackbird is having a new go at it on our terrace. She has five blue eggs in her nest. In 2009 she tried it too but the Magpies took all of her chicks. Can you believe it - the Magpies and not us! Mom wants these little Blackbirds to live this time. We'll keep you updated!

The Swoosh on Saturday
We were outside in the garden today.
I was feeling very frisky and did zoomies all over the place. Fun!
It must be the wind rustling in my furs. I actually like that.

If that guy doesn't get his act together and leaves us alone I'll have to put my paw down.

In the meantime Chilli challenged Dado again. She got very serious and screamed at him so loud that mom looked over the wall to see if she was in trouble. Chilli was on a pair of stairs whapping down at the mean introoder. When he spotted mom he fled and Chilli went after him.

Introoder alert
Furriends,

...do you see what I see?

It's that pest of loafy introoder Dado again! Putting his smells all over OUR wall!

I almost flew up the stairs when mom let us out.

I was really, really puffed! And I successfully chased the introoder away.

Siena was amazed as she's normally the one who has to do that job. I was just fed up. Remember when Dado chased me all the way up into our Maple tree and I couldn't get down? Ha! I guess I showed him today.

We made sure OUR smells are on the wall.

That felt really good.

very brave little Chillimus Prettypuss
