Finally Friday
Thank Cat it's Friday!
We'll have to take it easy with blogging for about two weeks, 'cos a cat's duty is calling again. Mom needs our help with studying for the ultimate exam in her student's life. And it's a though one! We hope that with our help she'll do as good as with the oral part.
Have a pawsome Friday efurryone!

The big fuss - advanced version
If you are following our blog for a while you might remember the essential impawtance of the big fuss move. Today, I want to introduce you to a complementary move that goes well with the big fuss:
the propeller tail. Luckily our mom has this older video footage, which shows what I'm talking about nicely. Watch out for the propeller tail - and its vital function - during the encounter with CC (Crazy Cat).Purrs, Siena

5th Photo Meme
We got tagged by the Country Cats to play the 5th Picture meme.
This is what we had to do:
Open a document or file folder, click on the fifth folder and then the fifth photo. Post the photo and describe it. Then tag 5 other bloggers.
Our human was shoveling giga bites of pictures forth and back from internal to external drives this weekend and so a photo of...
... Mexico-City from an airplane happened to be the fifth picture in the fifth folder. It was taken at the 2nd of January 2008 and mom had already stayed in Mexico since August 07. The other type of human came to visit her for Christmas and they did some traveling. Mom became all nostalgic so I allowed her to post some more random pictures of Mexico.I hope you liked them! She has zillions and zillions of pictures from Mexico! I asked mom to include a kitty picture to make it less boring. The kitty was living at a lovely beach and hang out with the humans. She has the most pawsome view from the balcony whenever she wants.
Needless to say that Mexico was before my time. Mom almost adopted a little cat there though. She found these apparently abandoned kitten in an empty taco stand. They were miserably crying, their fur was in very bad condition and the lovely floofy white one mom fell in love with was very thin. The little sister was better off. For some days she brought them food and water and never saw a trace of the mother. Then, one day, they were gone. Let's all hope that there was a caring mother who, annoyed by the human intervention, found a better place for her little litter. Back in Germany mom decided that is was time to get a cat and started searching for a little Norwegian Forest Cat. Why exactly that breed is a story for another day...
We tag Cliff and Olivia, Cory et alii, Goldie and 'his' girls, the Island Cats and Tom and Tama-Chan to play along.
Have a good start into the week efurryone!

Finally Friday with Meme
Quite a while ago we got this award which at the same time is a meme from Tom and Tama-Chan and Abby & Stygia. Thank you!
It comes with these rules:
"When accepting this auspicious award, you must write a post bragging about it, including the name of the misguided soul who thinks you deserve such acclaim, and link back to said person so everyone knows he or she is real. Choose a minimum of 7 blogs that you find brilliant in content or design. Or improvise by including bloggers who have no idea who you are because you don’t have 7 friends. Show the 7 random victims’ names and links and leave a harassing comment informing them that they were prized with “Honest Weblog.” Well, there’s no prize, but they can keep the nifty icon. List at least ten honest things about yourself. Then, pass it on! "
We will hold up the tradition in posting an honest picture of us to begin with. Plus, we will add some small pics or videos for illustrative reasons.
Chilli's first.
I sit on my hind legs like a bunny.I'm super fast. I dashed out of the door to our home into the hallway four times already.
I hate going by car and the PTU. When we had to drive 3h at Christmas I screamed the whole time. No joking, the whole trip! Mom said next time everyone except the driver has to take sedatives, 'cos it's far too stressful.
Lately, I have taken into rubbing myself against our human's legs, purring vigorously.
I want to rule this house. And I will. Hell, I'm a little feral from Rome!!! (An organisation brought me to Germany by car. Mom sees a connection with point 2 here. A strong connection!)
I'm, ehem, coughing, having problems in the litter box. It's because everything is so interesting! Sometimes I'm doing my business and something catches my attention and I just walk off the litter box, forgetting what I was doing and 'what I was doing' falls on the ground. Mom actually saw this. Maybe it will be better when I'm more growned up?
I have a very wet nose and leave stains with it on the window.
I'm a horrible patient. I whine, scream and fight.
I'm a daredevil and a great jumper. Mom says that's a "good" combination, then she shudders.
I'm pretty vocal. Recently I learned a cool rolling sound from Siena I didn't do before.
I love to play but I don't share toys. And I steal Siena's treats!
I'm a love bug and a great cuddler. I'm very nervous though and won't hold still while cuddling, always moving around, changing positions, rubbing my head against everything.
I have one mighty purr. I prefer to lay next to mom's head, or cuddled up against her neck to make sure she hears me.
I'm afraid, I'm a bit clumsy. I'm not a good jumper and tend to slip and almost fall off things. I'm a good climber though.
I dream very intensely and move in my sleep. Sometimes I whine so hard that mom wakes me up.
There's a yellow towel that drives me nuts. Every times it hangs in the bathroom I try to rip it off. It's only this towel, others I leave alone.
I follow mom around but don't cuddle as much with her as before. Maybe that's because Chilli always ruins my mom-time, because she pushes herself in. Grr.
I do cool prrr, prrr, prrr, prrrr sounds to comment everything.
I absolutely HAVE to sit in the bathroom when mom takes a shower. If she wouldn't let me in I would ruin the carpet in front of the door.
I scratch on the left side of mom's office chair. Hahaha! That's her fault, she should have educated me better on this point. Now it's too late.
I do other forbidden things too, but unlike Chilli, I do them at night or when mom is in another room. Ha! She'll never find out if it really was me who ruined the beautiful Amarillys. The second the litter box is cleaned and freshly installed back in it's place I use it. Mom is always amazed at my timing.
I fetch little balls and come when called.
I love belly rubs, but mostly from the other type of human. My mom just doesn't do them as good as he does. Mom says it's almost disgusting watching us. I think she's jealous. He just needs to talk to me in a certain way and I turn up my belly and give myself away, it can go on for minutes and minutes and minutes! I don't like being called Sienna. It's Siena - like the city in Italy and the earthen colour they find around that place. Mom decided on that name because she was reading Niccolò Machiavelli's "Il Principe" at that time. He's Florentine, but mentioned Siena a lot. I got siena-coloured fur spots.
I don't mind the PTU and during the drive at Christmas I slept.
I'm a gentle player. That's why Chilli always ruins my style when she thunders through in the middle of my game.
I love laying on cold surfaces and you'll often find me on our floor. Now we are going to pass this award on to the following cool cats:
Fin
Zoe, Indy and Georgia
Mickey, Tillie and Georgia
Jane
The cats with the Whippy Curly Tails
Luna et alii
Mishkat

How not to
Some of you might know about my life-long obsession (I'm only 10 months, but so far so good) about trying to escape through open windows. However, ultimately I didn't do that good anymore. Truth is, I never escaped through there, 'cos there's an silly insect net blocking the way to freedom. I overheared mom saying something about 'being too big' now.... I don't know. Much to my dismay, she filmed one of my failed attempts saying that its was funny to hear me mutter about. I doubt that you can hear me at all, given the bad quality of our videos, but here it comes.
This is the official "How not to" guide to escapism.

Please, do better at home!

Special Snowshoe Show
Tama-Chan was so sweet to tell me about the challenge Cosmo is running. It's all about floofy toes - Cosmo calls them "toehawks". While I have no ilusion in winning this contest, I have seen furry impressive toesies already, I do hope to get a honourary mention for the cutest pawprint around.
Purrs, Siena
Here's mom aiming for the full set. Notice the shadow the floof on my toes casts on my face. The flash makes it hard to see the snowshoes clearly, though. My paws are too snowy-white...
Close-up of hind paw.
And here's what I hope will do the trick: My chessboard paw print. This picture was taken in October 08 and my paw wasn't at it's floofiest back then because I was only 6 months old.Purrs, Siena

Impawtant notice!
We have an urgent information for our furriends:
Two imposters are out and about, trying to pass themselves as us. They call themselves "Sienna" and "Chili".
P.S.: In other news: Did you know hermit crabs feed on ducks?

Beware! These cats are not us! If you know their hidey-hole please tell us. And yes, we want to put the bitey on them. Only the original Siena and Chilli can bring floof and craziness to you - stay clear off any fakes. If in doubt, please contact us with total confidence.

Chilli's half-birthday
Welcome efurryone!
Today I am whole six months old. I'm afraid, I haven't prepared anything big for the celebration, but we all can thunder about a bit, play with the cool cubes and nip puffs and maybe, just maybe, the Evil Twig shows up! In case he shows up, stay calm - Siena will be celebrating with us.

I want to thank efurryone for their purrs. After my spay surgery and all the horrible poking on Friday I felt very much under the weather. You can tell by my long-suffering look in the picture... Boy, I felt knocked out!Siena and mom made me feel as comfy as possible but I felt best when the other type of human turned up. I slept for quite a while on him. No purring, though!
It was much better yesterday and my purr was back. It helped a lot that Valentine's Day was a lovely sunny day around here - the sun on my furs made me feel good. I don't understand though, why they seem to have made me a belly button on Friday?!Siena and me even started wrestling but mom broke it up when it got too wild. ¡Aguafiestas!
I am also happy to report that I can reach the stitches on my belly even with the collar on! Hahaha! You can't stop Crazy Cat! Mom says I'm behaving quite well otherwise and I only got the cube off once so far.
The bestest part so far was the little surprise Siena had for me: She signed me up in Cliff and Olivia's Tail Chasers Club!!! Here's the very cool logo.
I think it is very appropriate for my tail and me to be members of this club, but I would never have thought of applying myself. Thank you, sisfur! I would do a demonstration of my tail chasing abilities right now, but I have problems seeing it. You can watch me chasing my tail, whose name is Crazy Tail, here. I'm furry proud of my style. And of course it is very cool to be the first cat with a membership in this household! I'm member number 12.
This day is starting out just fine.

We wish all a very Happy Valentine's Day!
Did you see the card I made and posted over at Skeezix's 3rd annual Valentine's Day Kontest? And, more impawtantly, the card of a certain handsome mancat? If not, you might not understand what I am doing here... ; )

Finally Friday - Neutered & Needled Edition
Little Chilli went to the vet this morning at 09.30 a.m. to be spayed and for the missing leucosis shot. We were supposed to pick her up around 1 p.m. but the vet called and said we should make it 4 p.m., because she wasn't well awake. The surgery went fine though and they said there haven't been complications. However, Chilli didn't get good reports for her behaviour as a patient. When mom heard her scream because of the anaesthesia she knew that Chilli won't be an easy patient and she was right. The vet called her "bitchy". Grin, that's our little Chilli! She had to get some fluids to prevent dehydration and that meant three more pokes. The horror, the horror, the horror! She must feel very ouchy!
When she got home I didn't hiss at her but went straight to her to wash her face. She is wearing one of those collars around her neck and, naturally, hates it. Her first wobbly walk lead straight to the litter box where she had a good pee. And almost went to sleep during it! After half an hour of very wobbly, very whiny inspection, mom had to carry her up to the "loft bed" where she loves to sleep. There was no way she could get up here on her own, she couldn't even get up on the first step of the ladder, but she insistingly tried.
That means we're all up in bed now - although it is only 6 p.m.! I have loads of work to do with snuggling and washing the little one. She smells disgusting! Mom has to watch her for if she wakes up she could fall from the bed.Have a pawsome Finally Friday efurryone! Oh, and please stop by this Sunday if you can make it. Chilli will be celebrating her half-birthday. My half-birthday was very cool and I want her to have a great day, too. I even got a little surprise for her.
