The Swoosh on Saturday

We were outside in the garden today.
I was feeling very frisky and did zoomies all over the place. Fun!
It must be the wind rustling in my furs. I actually like that.
In the meantime Chilli challenged Dado again. She got very serious and screamed at him so loud that mom looked over the wall to see if she was in trouble. Chilli was on a pair of stairs whapping down at the mean introoder. When he spotted mom he fled and Chilli went after him.
If that guy doesn't get his act together and leaves us alone I'll have to put my paw down.

Thursday in the garden

These are older pictures from the first days of November 2010. We love the Fall colours now that the snow has gone and everything outside is soggy and mudcoloured.
Zoo......mies!Checking out the pile of leaves.
We were VERY thorough!
Siena had her full Winter floofage already.
We hope we can soon have fun in the garden again!

Thursday in the garden

Meow! The thing we love about being Gardening Cats is the grand variety. Here are some pictures from several our last outings.
Some quiet contemplation. Notice the two cute Snowdrops.
Zooming!
Chillimus is stalking me.We're both checking out the neighbour's stuff. See us?Chilli likes to hang out by the elephants.
Savouring my leaf pile to the most.
They are starting to throw it away bit by bit.
Hey, did I hear the introoder? What is it sisfur? Can you see something?
Ah yes, now I see him too. The introoder again!
I'm going to show him!
You can visit Jonesie and see what she and other Gardening Cats all over the world are up to.

Challenges part II

Being actually let out in the garden is one challenge, having to put up with loafy introoder tabbies is another. We were gardening with mom yesterday and Chilli and me checked the other world. Suddenly mom heard terrible cat screams and the sound of a wild chase. Chilli came flying back over the wall with a gigantic puffed tail and ran inside. Mom climbed over the wall and sure enough, there was Dado, the stinky introoder. I had him right under his secret entry to the shed, which he took up as his regular day-time residence for a while already. But it's not his shed, it's mine! Okay, it's Frida and Lilly's shed - but not at all his!I was seriously mad at him and growled and yelled. It's hard to tell with my floofy furs, but I was very puffed.
After a while Chilli's curiousity won over her fear and she came back.
Look at her cute half puffed tail. And the German Shepherd pose.
After some demonstrative fun in front of the introoder we went inside. It's far nicer to enjoy some treats and good snuggles than to battle for a silly tool shed after all.

Visitors

When mom said we had to prepare for Daisy's arrival both Chilli and me got really excited. Would Daisy the Curly Cat really come to visit us? And would she bring Harley? Just imagine our disappointment when we found out, that "Daisy" was the name for the cold front that is bringing us lots of snow. Hrmpf!
I made the best of it. I like snow! Not as much as Daisy of course.
I like sniffing it.I like just watching it fall.I like zooming around in it!See my tracks crossing some neighbour's track?
It's such a sublime moment when you're the first to leave your paw print in the pristine white cover.
That's my element! My furs keep me dry and warm.
Chilli stayed inside. Although she wanted to go out too mom didn't let her because it would have been too cold for her. Do you see her in the window? Of course she was not pleased.
I hope you're all safe and warm! Or having fun in the snow, just as you like it.

Snowy Siena

Woohoo, we are getting more and more snow! As we said, this is quite unusual for where we live and we are enjoying it for now. Mom says having to leave the house is a whole different story. Anyway, I got to go outside for a bit. I so enjoyed myself! Please have a look at my little 'Siena Snowfox in the Snow' adventure.
First impression of the white stuff.
My pawprints on the terrace. It kept snowing while I was checking out the patio.
I'm sure mom enjoyed being out there with me.
Zooming around in the snow is extra fun!
I hope my BSIFs (Big Sisters in Floof) Momo, Fin and Miss Kitty are proud of me. That white stuff is deep!
Ahhh, that reminds me of our trip to Norway last year. I dream that we can go again one day and the gorgeous Norwegian Forest Cat Mancats Theodor and Tankene Ice Mist could come along. That would be mayor fun!

Of course you need a weatherproof coat and snowshoes to enjoy this kind of weather. I'll admit that I didn't stay outside for very long, but I think I made my point.
Stay warm efurryone!

Thursday in the garden

Life as a Gardening Cat is grand. We've joined our furriend Jonesie's Society of Feline Gardeners and today is the first club meeting. Jonesie is a true Master Gardener, so head over and see what she has to say. Siena especially liked today's tips on a fashionable gardening look.
We were already outside in the garden this morning.
Apart from tree climbing lessons for Chilli we didn't do much though, it's a cold and grey day. Mom loves to see us zooming around and chasing each other. It's great fun! She wished the picture had come out better, can you see us?Chilli still needs a lot of practise in tree climbing. Can you believe she actually got herself stuck in this position?!
I couldn't even look!
Yep, still stuck!
Oh, I can hardly watch. The little one has to learn that if she goes up a tree she has to come down again.
Chilli is very brave and at one point she just let her back paws go and clinged to the front trunk. She got down!
Phew. You know, I can't rescue her every time she gets stuck in a tree.
A sisterly nosekiss is soothing to efurryone's nerves.
